CrossFit fundamentals, is one of the most kick ass workouts I have ever subjected myself to.
If you’re in shape you need this class. If you’re out of shape you’ll be glad you joined this class.
Since I have started with Adam, I’ve lost 20lbs of fat and replaced it with 15lbs of fat burning muscle. Adam has been there every step of the way guiding not only my daily workouts, but also motivating me to do better and eat healthier.
With every workout come new challenges, no day is the same. Whatever your fitness level, Adam is ready to gear the workout for your level of intensity so you may achieve your maximum potential with every rep.

I first tried a CrossFit class on a friend’s recommendation. I had never participated in any exercise classes before so I was a little apprehensive. I wasn’t sure if a class would provide a good workout or if the instructor would be able to provide any individual attention. These classes sounded interesting so I decided to check it out. I thought I was in decent shape before I went to that class. I may have been in good shape for the types of exercises that I was doing before (lifting weights and running). This didn’t translate into the overall fitness that CrossFit requires. I didn’t make it to the end of that first CrossFit class, but I liked what I was able to finish. I have continued to attend CrossFit and CrossFit fundamental classes run by Adam Morden since August 2007.
The next workout was completely different from the first and I made it through. Some of the workouts have introduced me to completely new exercises, but the result of the class is the same every time: exhaustion. I have continued to include CrossFit as part of my exercise routine. Since every class is completely different, it makes me vary my other trips to the gym based on which parts of my body are sore following the class. I never thought an exercise class would give such a good workout. I also never anticipated that the person who leads the class would be able to give individual attention to help correct form and motivate in a class setting. Adam manages to accomplish both.
There is a great deal of variety not only in the lifts and exercises within the workouts, but also in the types of workouts. I have learned many new exercises through CrossFit. Adam is great at teaching the exercises to the class. He also provides individual attention to help correct form and provide motivation.
I would recommend adding CrossFit to your workout routine if you are interested in learning some new, fun exercises. I suspect that your understanding of your personal fitness level will likely change after trying CrossFit classes, and soon your fitness level will change too.

Starting classes at Steel City CrossFit with Adam was an effort to lose weight accumulated over the years and become fit again. At 53 years of age, my joints were stiff and sore in the morning. It was somewhat frightening that my strength and mobility were becoming compromised.
Adam’s guidance with both CrossFit exercises and nutrition tips became an individualized and effective plan to increase strength and lose weight.
Happily, 10 months later, I have lost 46 pounds and regained the strength, fitness, and energy level I had in my thirties. I am at least 50% stronger now than I was when I started training.
Adam is personable and sensitive to peoples needs, making it possible to motivate, encourage, and drive students at every step of their journey to be the best they can be. I’ve never felt better!
